About HTS Paper
Brief History
The Hattrick (Singapore) Paper, which is also affectionately called HTS by many in short, was originally initiated solely for my own tracking purposes for the online soccer management game Hattrick.
Like everybody else, I started off as a newbie with zero knowledge about the game. Losing matches every week was like a routine which I am supposed to have gotten used to it. These losing streaks prompted me to do something to rectify the situation. I read through the conference threads and these threads gave me a deeper understanding of how this game is played and of course, the importance of scouting before matches! I started out with an Excel sheet when I first started my gameplay back in early 2003. It was a simple spreadsheet with basic information of the teams in my series. This information is definitely useful as it really helped to turned a few games around to my advantages. At that time, there are a few similar websites that are already available but Singapore Hattrickers population is too small for their interests in coverage. With this Excel sheet, I have decided to share this piece of information on the website to fellow Hattrick managers and hopefully, to add some interesting touches to the game itself. For many veteran managers may have already know, HTS Paper has undergone a few evolutions from hosted in a free web host server, to the present self-financed web hosting with a domain name htspaper.per.sg with more sophisticated information added in the frontend. The backend work has also been upgraded from being tedious and complicated to the current version, simple and fast! These enhancements allow me to provide more information faster and more dynamic.
The success of HTS Paper was not from the sole efforts by me, but it was from ‘die-hard?users like you! Some of the information that you see currently on the website were ideas contributed by frequent users. Pardon me if I have already forgotten who you were (which I think I have already did :P). Your contributions will definitely be appreciated. Ideas for enhancements are still welcomed. Email me at lovre@htspaper.org and we can discuss about it. No ideas are too wild and no contributions are too little.
Future Plans
HTS Paper will not be just another statistics site with information overloading you. As always, I have set my vision for HTS Paper to be a place where we can all gather and share tips about the game, to make new friends or even to kill some spare time of yours. With most of the information covered currently, HTS Paper will now progress on with features like personal team tracking, mini competitions with prizes sponsored by the revenue generated by the advertisements here and some others to further enhance your gameplay experience. Of course, there are no promises of implementing them anytime soon but they are in the list-to-do for HTS Paper enhancement. More updates will be announced in time to come in the in-game Singapore conference and the 'Latest Updates' section here. Let’s all make this site a success and a model for others to look upon!
